8TH MAY HURRY COME
I just cut my hair yesterday and did treatment. It's not much of a difference in the photo but my head feels so much lighter and my hair is SO smooth like baby's hair! But I only hate tying my hair now cos' it's not as thick and nice as it looks in a ponytail compared to last time. Need to wait for the bush to grow!
Countdown to my exams: 2 DAYS
I'm having mixed feeling about it. Not motivated but yet, don't wanna drown in the pool of my big fat ego if I don't do well. Honestly, it isn't looking good this week. Facing the biggest giants of my semester, the numbers paper. It has been countless of days mugging, mugging mugging. I have two good reasons for 8th May to come.
I can watch youtube, use facebook and watch teevee without feeling GUILTY. I can lie in bed and play my iPad without feeling GUILTY. I can go out shopping, meet friends or whoever for dinner without feeling GUILTY. Actually, me cooping myself at home with the books is just so I won't feel guilty and won't blame myself if I didn't do well - Cos I tried. And I really did!
#2. WILSON IS COMING BACK SOON
Okay I make it sound like damn soon, but actually I got 2 and a half more weeks to go. Only one week passed and it feels horribly long already. I just got a phone call from him this afternoon (: He just reached Taiwan this morning. I hope he have fun tonight with the good food and the bubble tea! Wished he could bring back some good bbt for me hehe authentic bbt, yums. Ok, so when 8th May comes, it means there is only 2 more days till he is back! :D But he has to sail for another week after he is back for a day. But nvm. The wait is over! At least between the 8th till he comes back, I can do whatever I want - eat, shop, go out, laze at home AND PLAY FREAKING LAN GAMES. HAHAHA. I'm quite an addict to battleship - not the movie (I haven't watch it yet) but the World of Warcraft game It used to be our weekly Friday late night activity till 5am but it's on hold now, due to exams. Excited!!!
#3. I can start planning for a travel trip again!
I will be going for a holiday in June but not sure where so when 8TH May comes, I can start planning for a good trip and get really excited over it :D Damn. Now I'm already excited. Wanted to go Hong Kong cos' it has to be our annual trip every year but W only prefers it during its winter ): Means no summer shopping for me.... But I might consider Australia or Bangkok or..... I don't know. Anywhere! 8TH MAY JUST COME AND I'LL BE SO HAPPY HAHA.
OK now that I've listed all the reasons to be excited for, I should be more motivated to study better now. Bye for now! I realized I only talk a lot on my blog, but I have been speaking very little words these few days ): Haha well, I used to only talk to Wilson like every night, vomitting 20,000 words to him and he seems like the only one I can actually really talk to without feeling judged and who really understands me. At least I got time to blog now and it can contain all my opinions (: Either ways, I'm happy.
Have a great week ahead, and lucks to everyone having their exams too!

2 oh want too

It's 2012 AND WE ARE ALIVE. HAHAHAHA. The only loud noises that you could possibly hear are the sound of fireworks (not bombs or hurricane) So apparently, what I kinda "thought"/imagine would happen on new years' day is just like a kids' tale. Yay, we're alive! Yay yay yay!
My 31st was pretty special. I woke up at 4pm and half my day was gone cos' the previous night, went xh's house for post-xmas party and drinking till 4am. Only got back to sleep at 830am. Did french manicure (finally!) and I'm lovin' it! What made my 31st special was attending W's officer's wedding at Shangri-La Orchard. It was an eye-opener for me and I always wanted to attend a wedding eversince I grew up but I didn't even get a chance to attend a single one! And yesterday, finally! My first wedding I attended that I can remember (excluding the ones I can't remember when I was young). What's even more special, I finally witness the sword barrier ceremony for an officer's wedding. It is amazing. So grand, so beautiful. I had goosebumps all over during the wedding. I didn't get to take any photos cos' I was too occupied admiring everything at the function. It was held at the island ballroom, a really big place. I never had to wear a cocktail dress to any parties hence I'm always in my shorts and tank top. It's really nice having such events once in awhile. Got to meet a few of W's navy friends and a few I met before. Haha they must think I'm just a little girl :x

After the wedding dinner, we took a cab to O bar for countdown. The queue was insane, but we managed to get in before 12. The night was awesome! Music was good, drinks were even better. Phin introduced this damnnnnn good apple cider called "Somersby". I'm pretty sure I remembered correctly despite being pretty 'high'. It's so good, you gotta try it! I have to say this is my first time counting down in a club cos' I know club on new years' can be a hassle - squeezing with the crowd and the worst, trying to find a cab home. We couldn't find any so we decided to go Kopitam for some good hot soup and unhealthy carrot cake which tasted so sinfully good! Managed to get a cab and fly home. W was pretty wasted when we reach home. He ended up having to puke downstairs and felt hungry after that so we cooked Maggie Mee + Cheeezzy hotdogs. Soooo fattening happy!
So that's my countdown for you. I hope y'all had a great countdown to the new year! Best wishes to everyone, and I hope it will be a happy year for everyone too! No tears, no bitterness, no fights, no growing fat... If only! Ha. Found a little note that could relate to everyone reading.

And... signing off my 1st entry of 2012!

It's the most beautiful time of the year

Sneak preview of one of the xmas dinners with my girlfriends
It's a week of early mornings and late nights. You should check out my eye bags - Sleeping at 5am throughout the weekend and waking up at 7am (645am today) for the past 4 days is a nono. My eye bags should weigh a ton by now :( :( :(
Today is day 3 of some home-time with myself and my dog. Just finished 45 minutes of stalking (ahem ahem) Facebook can really occupy me and time flies so quickly while you are busy stalking and all. But it's all worth it. Hahaha. Don't we all love Facebook.com for satisfying our curiosity (or sometimes, over-curiosity!).
It has been a busy 2 days after christmas, busy helping Sailorboy with his work yesterday.... Not as fun as I thought it would be. I ended up dozing up, like back in Secondary school. But most of it, Sailorboy was being stressed up with all the busy-ness and somehow, it affects me too. TODAY is the day he's finally over with all that work! :D F*KING-ALLY! Hahaha. It's gonna be xbox "boys VS girls" with W, my brother and his girlf.
I can't believe it is already 29th! The year is ending in 2 days.. Geez. 2011 was good and bad for me. I'm actually looking forward to Saturday, 31st. I'm attending W's officer's wedding! *insert excited face* Ok, let me explain my over-excitedness. I haven't been to a wedding IN my life that I've ever remembered, excluding those I went with my parents when I was really young and can't remember anything about it. Yeah, so this is my official first wedding I'm attending and can actually remember! ^^ And his officer whose wedding wedding we are attending, is a very nice decent guy (: Well, that's the impression of him when I met him a few other times in batam and dinner.
Oh and I freakin-ally bought my polaroid camera + colourful films! I'm really excited about owning one myself. Love how the photos come out and I can still decorate it with my pretty markers. It's arriving tomorrow at my doorstep! But sadly I wont be able to receive myself cos' I don't think I'll be home. But STILL, IT'S FINALLY MINE BABY! Heh Heh. I bought the 25s Instax Series cos' I guess it is supposedly better than the 7s right? Yay me!
Still have yet to upload the Xmas photos so I shall end here, feeling excited after talking about the wedding and think of my list of 2012 resolutions to write up.
Oh, I wanna share a cool video I found on Facebook - in the midst of my stalking -

Tang Yuen Day!
I bet not everyone knew there was such thing as ‘Tang Yuen’ day. It’s calledWinter Solstice Festival and it’s today!
Just in case you don’t know what is Tang Yuen… Here you go!

It can also be in many colours like this,

Really pretty huh? The common traditional ones are usually with sesame or peanut . The soup is made out of sugar, water, pandan leaves and sometimes ginger. I like mine in ginger soup! Really yummy.
Apparently in other countries like HK and China or Taiwan, they celebrate this festival with gifts, visit their departed love ones, wear new clothes like it is chinese new year. However in Singapore, it is less exciting and not well-known. People like me don’t practice it at home, but usually just go out and eat tang yuen… If I remember this day every year. I don’t really know what other families do in Singapore.
It is celebrated on this day where they said the sunlight is the weakest and daylight’s the shortest.
The concept of the festival traces back to the Yin and Yang philosophy of balance and harmony. After this celebration, it is said that there will be days with longer daylight hours, also an indication of the increase of positive flow of energy.
So have a good round tan yuen day today! It’s even more special eating tang yuen today (: I’m gonna get my bowl hopefully later since we don’t practice making our own at home.
xx

Hey sexy, it's your birthday
Just not long ago, it was my 21st. Now it's my dearest Sailorboy's!
Well, his birthday falls on a Thursday, the 15th and I made 101 plans (surprises) for him, but had to cancel them as soon as he told me he couldn't take leave for his birthday or the day after ): It's a sad thing when you are protecting the country cos' apparently the pirates and enemies will not take a break from attacking your country if they know it's your birthday. Booooo!
So I had to think of some last minute "surprise-willy" mission.
So #1, the yellow thompson kids and I had a group chat to plan to surprise W. I planned for them to come over at midnight t surprise him at home cos' I will be at his house and we won't be going out for sure - thanks to zzzworkzzz. So they did! And XH made up this 'food taste' test. The best was what I encouraged for the "punishment" - BITTERGOURD JUICE. HAHAHAHA. He hates it TO THE MAX. His dad asked me to drink before and I did, but his dad had to chase him around the house to ask him drink and yet, failed! I'm sure he's gonna thank me for the beautiful face he's gonna have! (MORE b-eautiful, I mean)
#2. Yesterday was his actual birthday and he had to work. So I went home, went for my IPL and facial. Then met him. Before that, I actually decided to cook. Yes. Me. Victoria cook. As much as everyone choose to believe I can't cook, actually I can! (; But I choose not to cos' I hate the trouble to wait for my food and there's so much preparation! By the time I'm done cooking my food, I'm tired already and I would want my bed more. Ok, so plan was to buy groceries and cook. It took me 3 hours to cook!
I cooked pasta chicken bacon chilli, with heart-shaped turkey ham and cheesy sausage. Supposed to have oyster veggies but I was running late for my IPL & facial appointment so yeah.

Packed all the stuff and took the new-price cab to simei. After my appointment, we went to Changi Beach where we watch planes and eat our dinner in the car. I hoped he was surprised by dinner. Haha I told him I'd take him 'out' for dinner... Actually I pre-planned many old surprises before this new backup plan cos' I thought he wouldn't have work. Thank God for a brain that can think of surprises at the very last minute! :p
#3. Friday comes, it's when I pull my masterplan. How can I ever let his birthday off so easily with just a normal homecooked meal from a girl who never cooks? I booked a room in Studio M. He had work so I was gonna secretly pack all his stuff and bring over for check-in. It wasn't a smooth journey there. In fact, it was one of the toughest journey I have ever faced to go execute a surprise :/ Firstly, I didn't know where it was so I thought it was at boat quay area. I walked to Boat Quay only to find it wasn't there so I just held my ipad on my hand while walking (like a tourist). I had 3 bags to carry and my freaking heavy vaio laptop which I regret bringing. GEEZUS AND ITS FATED - That no cab wanna pick me up! Either the cab is changing shift, or when I flag, the uncle happen to look down at his phone (serious shit...) And when I was walking the whole clarke quay to find, while crossing a road... SUDDENLY it started pouring so so so so heavily! ): ): ): I was really at a "FML" moment. Like nothing else could try to break me down, I was panting with all the weight on me and all these started to happen. My goodness. I hid at a Japanese restaurant, the lady told me it was far from there and I had to run under the rain which she didn't advice me to. Ok..... But anws, I did carry on finding ways t get my destination. I was VERY determined.
Shit happens. Okay, that aside, I made it!

I got the executive room, which is apparently better than studio/premier loft cos' it is only the corner units on every floor and I had full length windows on the sides too! Which really showed us good nice view of Clarke Quay.

Look at the view. It is so much better than having walls there which will make the room look so much smaller.
Ok, so I got a few hours of 'alone' time before the birthday boy reaches his Surprise. So, photo time!

Then, when he reached, well, he thought I was doing "facial" the whole time but little did he know that we can't do facial two times in a row! I just did one the day before on his birthday so yeah. These are little things guys will never know and it may come in handy one day!
So I gave him the address for GPS, when he reached, I sent him two photos.

Plus a "SLURPRISEEE" voice note. HAHAHA. He was surprised indeed. Parking outside the hotel in his uniform, I went out to find him and guide him to free parking in the hotel. Yay! Mission accomplished.
When he reached, not much photos. Cos' we were both sooo fungry! (very very very very extremely crazily hungry) so we left the hotel, went to Brussel Sprouts for dinner!

It was happy hour so we bought fruit beer!

Peach beer was so delicious! :D

I'm head over heels for sweet alcohol. Hehe. Redbull vodka... Fruit beers.... Anything goes! Alright food time!

Clear Mussels cooked in white wine and garlic
I would love to try the cream one for lesser of the fishy mussel taste. But the clear mussels soup is really delicious! It comes with free flow of fries.

My dish - I ordered the platter. Yumzzzz. Onion rings are better than buckaroos!!! And the raw mussels, my first time trying and it tasted like my favourite fresh oysters. They had fish sandwiches, salami, pork pieces and salad. Thumbs up!

W's dish - Sorry forgot to take photo and he finished most of it already. It was duck . Really really tasty duck!

What a fulfilling dinner! (: Went over to the wine shop to get some wine and more fruit beers to drink back at the hotel.

Oh check out these lights!

Lights from the hotel lobby. It's really blinding if you look up with your naked eye, that's why I used my camera to help me 'see'.
Went back to the room, watched predators and left MTV on to sleep. Waking up in the loft is such luxury. I always dream of my future house to be like that. I love the studio apartment style, with my bed on the top. Simple and nice.

Breakfast at M!

Went for a swim after our breakfast and some camwhore in the room.

Sigh swimming. I spoilt alittle of that, cos' I ended up crying in the pool when W tried to hold my body and teach me how to swim. But I felt like I was overturning and I was so scared and started to cry ): Sigh!
Anyways, then it's checked out!

I hope all these made his 24th special enough! Not forgetting... His present of the century! ;) Blackberry Torch! I gave him in superduper advance firstly I couldn't wait :x And secondly, I wanted him to bring the phone for sailing.
I love you, forever and always.
